Tame One & Del The Funky Homosapien Team Up

I don’t think I can describe this pairing better than this:

Remember the old-school Marvel Team-Up comic book which paired, say, Spider-Man with Thor, Wolverine with the Human Torch, or the Hulk and Daredevil? In the spirit of those classic collaborations, Gold Dust announces Parallel Uni-Verses, a joint effort between Hieroglyphics founder Del The Funky Homosapien and original Artifacts emcee Tame One. Produced entirely by Parallel Thought, the album’s ten tracks return to a time when inventiveness, creativity, funky beats—and, above all, lyricism—ruled hip-hop.

The album is also described as a “grassroots hip-hop aesthetic,” and says that Parallel Uni-Verses should hit stores before 2009’s over.

Amplive + Radiohead = Rainydayz

First it was on, then it was off, and now it’s back on and now free. After a cease and desist letter from the folks in the higher ups pumped the breaks to the project that is Amplive’s Radiohead In Rainbows remix project, which actually met with some positive press from the folks at the New York Times and the Guardian UK.

Well, now Amplive and Radiohead’s people have kissed and made up and now the remix album Rainydayz is now available for download, for free and is available now. The collection, which is totally composed of the original In Rainbows source material, features drops from Too $hort, MC Zumbi of Zion I, Chali2na formerly of Jurrasic 5, Codany Holiday, and Del the Funky Homosapien.
