We love Drums Of Death to death. In fact, he’s reminiscing about a photo shoot he did with us a couple year back in Vancouver on Twitter at the moment. With our shared history and our unabashed affection towards whatever he’s making at the moment, the lovely people at Civil Music (who have put out some stunning new releases from Darling Farah, Débruit) have hooked us up with an exclusive mp3 to celebrate his Black Waves EP, just released last month. Pollyn – Still Love (Sid Roams Remix) (MP3)

The Los Angeles musical collective known as Pollyn is comprised of vocalist Genevieve Artadi, guitarist Anthony Cava, and beatmaker Adam Jay Weissman.  Pollyn creates atmospheric pop songs with lush electronic overtones.  With heavy rotation on KCRW and featured on Urb’s Next 100, the band has remixed several high profile acts including Gorillaz, Liquid Liquid, Buffalo Daughter, Health, and Exile. Their second Remix EP for the song Still Love features remixes by dEbruit, Blue Daisy and Sid Roams.  Today, we are sharing the Sid Roams Remix, who is known for his production work with Dilated Peoples, Prodigy, and many others, and is one of the more hip hop friendly tracks from this recently released EP.

SXSW Day Four Recap: Wind-ing Up The Weekend

The final day comes along as fast as the whipping winds. 

Reaching the  end of SXSW is no easy task. Walking along Sixth Street proves to be a daunting task as attendees are tired, stressed and looking to wrap up their musical journey with a bang. While everyone was looking for a way to get a  second wind to move on, Mother Nature provided more wind than anything. With a high temperature in the low 40s, this wasn’t the Austin anyone expected; but they marched forth to continue on the conquest of having a successful SXSW experience.
