Deadmau5 is set to release the follow-up to his debut this fall, entitled For Lack Of A Better Name, accompanied by a North-American tour. No major details about the album yet, except the title, and that it features the track “Ghosts ‘N Stuff,” with Pendulum’s Rob Swire. The sound is described as “taking a different turn,” by including elements of different styles, yet still in the same vein as Random Album Title. It’s set to be released Sep 22nd, with the official tour kicking off the day after at Ritual in Ottowa. From there, Deadmau5 will tour through the rest of Canada and the U.S., including a headlining spot at LA’s own Hard Haunted Mansion.
As the phenomenal popularity of Deadmau5 continues to blow away those who thought dance music had returned to it’s underground roots, it is proven once again that nothing sells records (or tickets to the rave) like a good old fashioned mascot. URB considers the history of the electronic music mascot and what it can do to turn talented artist into icons.
So this track is a little old, but straight fire nonetheless. Perhaps Deadmau5 dirtiest, croaking synth EVER!
