Buju Banton Turns Arrest Into Album Sales

Probably the best thing about being a famous musician is that breaking the law can actually improve your public profile. Ever since Jim Morrison allegedly let his willy out in Miami, artist have seen their notoriety escalate once the men in blue try to put them down. Call it Chris Brown syndrome if you like. Just ask Lil Wayne.

So perhaps Buju Banton was a wee bit disappointed when his arrest on cocaine charges in Florida just before the holidays failed to ignite a firestorm of coverage (sorry, we were out shopping).
