This particular show found her on the verge of deportation and about to announce a pregnancy, which makes a very nice visual metaphor out of the smiley beach ball she carried against her belly, as the lights flood through, but I digress…Hearing her sing the words “you got the people? you got the power!” reminded me of hearing Patti Smith just a few years earlier singing “People Have the Power” in this same tent

What happens when a musician who can do no wrong collides with a DJ who lately can do no right? Whether of not you like this collab between David Byrne and Fatboy Slim will ultimately depend on whether you find Santigold to still be charming. One things for certain, it’s much better than Norman Cooks BPA collab project from last year.
