MED & Blu just released “The Buzz” EP which features the title track featuring Mayer Hawthorne. Today, enjoy the song “Peroxide” featuring Dam-Funk which is the B-side. Entirely produced by Madlib, this is MED & Blu’s second EP together (first being “The Burgundy EP”) which also features a bonus beat, instrumentals and an acappella.
MED and Blu announced their collab over Madlib beats with “The Burgundy EP” earlier this year. On November 26th the second EP, “The Buzz” featuring Mayer Hawthorne b/w “Peroxide” featuring Dam-Funk will be released.
This is the first time Stones Throw alumni Madlib, MED, Mayer Hawthorne and Dam-Funk have all appeared on the same record.

We sent embedded URB photo staffer Paulo Von Borries to roll with our friends and family at Stones Throw Records for their premiere event for label documentary Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton (This Is Stones Throw Records). Cleveland-born, Los Angeles-based producer/drummer Jovan ‘J-1′ Coleman has passed away in Sweden. Coleman was a regular on the LA beat scene, most notably performing as one-third of Dam-Funk‘s Master Blazters.
