Ninja Tune Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Boxset

In Sept., Ninja Tune celebrates 20 years in the game with a six-disc box set, Ninja Tune XX, which will include two discs of exclusive material from Roots Manuva, DJ Vadim, Coldcut and Kid Koala, as well as unheard remixes by El-P, Cut Chemist and Gaslamp Killer. All of the exclusive material will also come pressed to 7-inch vinyl, along with a poster and a book, Ninja Tune: 20 Years of Beats & Pieces.

DJ Nuts – Arthur Verocai Mix (MP3)

The Timeless Concert Series wasn’t just a series of stunning performances.  All the shows were framed by our favorite DJs.  Madlib, J. Rocc, House Shoes and Quantic all came with amazing sets.  Cut Chemist even raised the bar with a one turntable romp.
One the eve of the Verocai show, DJ Nuts was supposed to perform with Madlib.  He made the arduous journey from Brasil after completing a show with Marcelo D2.  He endured a punishing series of flights that took 20 hours to complete, and in the end, a plane delay caused him to miss his own set at the start of the show.
In a pinch, J. Rocc stepped up to the plate and performed a stellar set at the Luckman in his place, and Nuts went on to DJ a mind-blowing two hour set at the after-party.
So much of Mochilla’s dealings in Brasil would not have been possible without Rodrigo Teixera (known to the world as DJ Nuts).  The Verocai concert surely would never have happened without him.  His role in helping with the pre and post coordination was enormous. …MORE
