Contemporary streetwear and creative culture brand COMUNE presented “Karlson Tea Party,” a Motorcyle and Adam Wright exhibition at their Costa Mesa headquarters this past Sautrday, Sep 26th as an exclusive RSVP-only event. Motorcyles were displayed, chosen for their “historic importance and/or design excellence,” and were accompanied by the photography of Adam Wright. Wright is best known for Road Course and Hauler series photo magazines, and uses a Leica camera with no flash and only one lens.

Let’s get back to the rave days in proper fashion; by listening to ripped radio. Zomby’s seminal “Where Were U In ‘92?” didn’t have any remixes come out of the pipeline, at least until now. Better late than never, I suppose…as dubstep king Skream is bitten by the rave bug and makes this colossal tune even more worthy of dancefloor mayhem.
Side note: In rave culture, an airhorn is a sound of universal endearment. Enjoy them!
Master turntablist DJ Roc Raida (B. Anthony Williams) passed away today. Part of the original DJ collective and turntablist group the X-ecutioners, (formerly known as X-Men), Raida’s vinyl exploits quickly earned him a reputation as one of the best DJs in the world. He captured the DMC World DJ Championship in 1995 with his superb beat-juggling, seamless mixing, and flawless, ambidextrous execution. He was so talented, he could literally spin with his arms behind his back. Not only a master of the turntables, Raida was also an accomplished martial artist.
