St. Louis MC/Producer teams up with Knxwledge for the song “Spand.” The original instrumental was released off of Knxwledge’s “Kompsure.EP” and today we’re sharing Black Spade’s take over the beat.
Make sure to look out for more music coming from both artists in 2012. Black Spade is also preparing for his next solo release as well as his group effort with Coultrain, Hawthorne Headhunters…all dropping later this year.

Proh Mic’s “Rhythm for Days” album is in stores now via All Natural Inc!!
The album is a future-funk/soul banger that showcases Proh Mic’s production abilities while enlisting an impressive list of guest features including Uncle Imani of The Pharcyde, Coultrain of Hawthorne Headhunters / PPP, and others.

Hawthorne Headhunters, at the core, consists of Black Spade and Coultrain, who just released their “Myriad of Now” EP via Plug Research x HVW8 on Tuesday. Their long awaited full length album will be released early 2012 and this EP provides a taste of what’s to come for the full length project.
Inspired by funk, electro, jazz, and soul music, their music touches on spirituality, sexuality and everything in between. Their fusion of influences is not only a continuing of musical lineage of African-American music dating back to Jazz and Blues music, but a promising look into the now and the future on how the music has developed and how it will be developed over the years moving forward.

Producer/Musician Proh Mic is preparing his album release “Rhythm for Days” dropping on October 25th via All Natural Inc.. The album blends and meshes various elements of soul, hip hop and electronica and is entirely produced by Proh Mic, except for one song produced by Seattle cohort Vitamin D. “Rhythm for Days” features vocal appearances from Uncle Imani of The Pharcyde, Georgia Ann Muldrow, Coultrain, Jimetta Rose, and Tone Trezure.
