Trying to fit names in a headline is like trying to have children with aliens. Its almost impossible (or is it?) Cmj is driving us insane so now that you’ll probably see this post at 8 pm when you wake up, you still have enough time to get your party boots on.  Over 25 rap acts will be on stage at bowery poetry club, NYC and we have all their names in the flier below.  If you think you haven’t heard enough rap, don’t think that yet. This one runs midnight to 3:30 am, which most likely means in NYC hip hop till 430 am, which means if you drove out here from NJ you’ll get home at 7 am.

Hooray for Earth, “True Loves” (Leak) (MP3)

Yay! Hooray for Earth leaked a song from their upcoming full album due to be released in 2011. Hooray for Earth is probably going to be doing the festival circuit next summer so you can be all cool and catch them in a smaller venue at their residency in November at Pianos on the LES in NY. They’ll be having special guests such as Twin Shadow, Shlipa Ray and Her Happy Hookers, Mirror Mirror, Arms, Arpline, Zambri, etc rolling on by like the Liza Minelli Variety Hour. Trademark Da Skydiver ft. Terri Walker, “Up Here” (MP3)

Chhhiiiiiiiiild, this song is a keeper. Trademark Da Skydiver and Terri Walker knock it out of the park with this “smokers anthem” but in all honesty I can hear this being played for any uplifting event; like a trailer for a sports movie where people overcome diversity or marketing office parties celebrating success. “I’ll be chilling in the sky all day, floating with the clouds as I make my way to the top”, isn’t that a positive affirmation you want to hear over and over again?
