Phil Spector and his lawyers suffered a major setback today when LA County Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fiddler rejected their attempts to use diary excerpts from the actress Spector is accused of murdering to “raise questions about her lifestyle”.
In case you haven’t been following, Spector is accused of shooting and killing Lana Clarkson at his Alhmabra manse a few hours after meeting her at the House of Blues during a night out in West Hollywood. Today’s developments are a major blow to the defense’s case that Clarkson found a gun in a stranger’s house and committed “accidental”(?) suicide on a whim.
This case sounds pretty cut and dry. I mean, I appreciate Spector’s contributions to the American canon of music and all, but the man who invented the Wall of Sound …
