!!! (Chk, Chk, Chk) have got to be the last of the great NYC disco punk bands. The group is getting ready to release their fourth album of what we know is going to be chugging groovers that will make you long for a gentler time, when people danced to funky basslines and wah-wah guitars instead of pounding kicks and throbbing electro synths. The first release, “AM/FM,” is streaming over at the groups website, and it’s a dead ringer for about a dozen of our favorite early ’90s Madchester records, all at once.
