We’re going on almost three years time since The Cool Kids graced the cover of URB magazine, and there’s still no proper full-length on the horizon. While this has to be some sort of frustrating record set by Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks, we can’t stay mad when they periodically drop a track like “Big Talk.” Three listens in and we still can’t figure out what the heck that buzzing sample is supposed to be. If “Big Talk” becomes a hit, will the ‘ketamine hornet’ sound become all the rage in hip-hop?
Sometimes I binge on on Kpop and then I feel way too sugary, too effervescent – and then all I feel like doing is that move they do in moshpits where the person is both kicking and punching the air, sometimes an innocent bystander — sometimes a wall. Well if you, like me, feel like any of the above you should send over your e-mail address, phone number and name to tonamiepr@gmail.com for your chance to win a pair of tickets to catch Huoratron at Evil Olive Chicago, IL; on Thursday Novemeber 11, 2010. Contest closes tonight, you can catch Huoratron on tour now — check out the tour dates after the jump. *open only to 21+

This one year I dressed up as Jean Bice from the Quaker Factory for Halloween and no one got it. They just thought I was in regular street clothes! So what are you planning on doing October 30th? Because A-Trak, Chromeo, Kid Sister and Theophilus London are all performing at the Congress Theater for the Freaky Deaky 2 and we over here at URB have a pair of tickets with your name on them. E-mail tonamiepr@gmail.com with your name and contact information, winner will be contacted next week.
