Tonight, Brooklyn Bass delivers a piece of the Night Slugs universe to Cameo Gallery. Egyptrixx will be gracing Williamsburg once again after his last appearance under the critically-acclaimed collaborating, Hiawatha. It’s been a while since we’ve heard new solo material from the Toronto-based producer and we’re surely excited to see him tonight. For more info on tonight’s event, as well as where to RSVP for cheaper entry, check out the flyer down below.
Tonight at Cameo Gallery, some heavyweight bass will be heard in a variety of flavors. If you prefer what’s next on the stratosphere of bass-fueled fantasia, look no further than Max Pearl’s set to start off the night; as the Sci-Fi & Fantasy label head will provide his indicative take on forthcoming sonic textures that are sure to take over NYC soon enough. However, if you’re looking to be courageous, look no further than URB favorite FaltyDL; he’ll be coming off fresh from his latest LP release, Hardcourage, on Ninja Tune. Finally, if you’re looking for booty-bomb kicks and toms, Addison Groove is here to deliver the medicine. He’ll be bringing his signature 808-centric show to Cameo for a special NYC appearance. Check out the flier and show details down below, post-jump.
On December the 15th, become part of an exciting new series of parties taking off in Brooklyn as a celebration of the darker side of electronic music. Mysterious resident curator and DJ Sheepshead has already attracted the likes of Illum Sphere and Octo Octa to headline its inaugural event. Illum Sphere is landing in Brooklyn after a two-year hiatus, following signing to Ninja Tune for his forthcoming LP and a stellar release on Young Turks. With such impeccable recent releases as well as his reputation holding the Hoya:Hoya parties in the UK, his upcoming appearance at un[be]known is definitely noteworthy. 100% Silk artist Octo Octa has recently relocated to New York City from New Hampshire, and is preparing to showcase another side of his work in a special techno-oriented set. His unique take on house caught our attention before, so we’re excited to see what he’ll do this time in this 100% live set.
Un[be]known kicks off on December 15th at Cameo Gallery (93 N 6th St, Brooklyn). You can get tickets in advance for $12, or $15 at the doors. Check out the event page for more information, and be sure to stream/download a mix by Sheepshead made especially to precede the event below (tracklist after the jump):
