Despite some procedural speedbumps on the state assembly, The Flaming Lip’s most ad-friendly tune, “Do You Realize” has been named the official Oklamoma State Rock Song, having received over 50% of the general vote. Here’s hoping this new politicized Lips won’t temper Wayne Coynes when he thinks someone is a “prick.”

T-Pain has undoubtedly put Auto-Tune on the map of modern hip-hop, inspiring other artists like Weezy and Yeezy to experiment with the same sound. And it only seems as if the Auto-Tune hype will continue as T-Pain and music software developer Antares, the company who developed the Auto-Tune product, plan to release an app for the iPhone that allows users to add pitch-shifted vocals over T-Pain’s beats.
