I’m not so sure the world needs to fully take notice of the raw pop talent of Bruno Mars just yet. But after featuring on B.o.B.’s chart-topping “Nothin’ On You,” it seems many are ready for this southern-inflected brand of indie meets Pop R&B. American youth culture has bridged the gap rather seamlessly (albeit often to somewhat appalling effect fashion-wise) between what is considered traditionally white and black music. It’s not that we need to mention racial socio-politics in passing but the rapidity with which some positive change occurred must be noted. All that meandering aside, you should probably eff with this joint. It’s soulfully breezy for that Springtime motion.
