This week’s venture from INPUT at Output is courtesy of the French label Marble; who have been pushing the sounds of French dance music into places weird and wild for the past few years. In conjunction with their sonic brothers at Sound Pellegrino, the label has continuously flipped the script in regards to what dance music from France is known as. The days of “post-French touch” and “French electro” have gone by the wayside, as people like Surkin and Canblaster have taken bits of slow jams, ’80s, game soundtracks and even J-Pop to create music that’s superbly unique. Another thing to behold about these two artists is their constant knack for executing brilliant DJ sets that range from fantastic soundscapes to frenetic rhythms; as these two never keep things stable for too long. Thus why we here at URB are beyond excited to give you a chance to see them at Output this Thursday, on the cheap. Check out the promo code instructions and a preview, post-jump.
