Last night Joshua Glazer, aka URB’s Editorial Guru and LA DJ, was in NYC. I was supposed to catch up with him at Baddies ripping the decks up with Nancy Whang of LCD Sound System. Supposed to. Look, I packed the camera, my ears were on and I was ready. The problem was I had to make one stop into Cielo and the weekly Dance.Here.Now. gig to wish a good friend happy birthday. Sounds fair right? It was, until Dance.Here.Now. and Boris decided to pull out all the stops. It was carnage of the highest order in house music, a veritable Winter House Olympics for Cielo’s Funktion1 sound system. ”How am I gonna explain this Josh” I thought?
