It’s been a wild ride for TURRBOTAX residents Contakt and Mayster. While both producers have been part of running one of the most-lauded and eccentric monthly events in New York, they’ve also been hard at work making some serious bass-y business. Earlier in 2011, we were treated to Contakt’s debut release, Not Forgotten on the distinguished Local Action label. This time around on the all-encompassing Dutty Artz label, they bring us their newest output, Korak, which is a progressive stance on the sounds both Contakt and Mayster have been experiencing sonically on the floor as well as their own environments. Strong from start to finish, the EP is only a teaser of what’s to come from each producer. To celebrate its release –along with giving them an excuse to jam out some exclusive cuts– they’ve given URB a mix exclusive, thanks in big part to the lovely people at Dutty Artz. Peep the mix and tracklist down below.
L-Vis 1990’s analog techno has become a favorite here in camp URB, along with pretty much everything that comes out on his Night Slugs label. So we’re thrilled to bring you this exclusive remix of “Lost In Love” the first single off L-Vis’ new album, Neon Dreams (PMR Records). The tune features vocals from frequent collaborator Javeon McCarthy and is remixed by by the Night Slugs crew which features L-Vis 1990, Bok Bok and Jam City.

Travis Stewart, better known as the masterful electronic know-it-all Machinedrum, is releasing a special set of tracks for the international label/collective LuckyMe. The Many Faces of Machinedrum LP will include a collection that will feature tracks that go between gut-busting bass, acid-tweaking and juke-jumping. URB has landed an exclusive track off the release for download, along with a preview stream of the record (which includes an insanely great Bok Bok remix). Check out “Lemme F_ck It” and the rest of the release after the jump.
