To cap off a whirlwind week of news surrounding the exploits of the US Red Bull Thre3style Champion, Big Once, we bring to you our updated article and video interview by the folks behind our web series, Social Science.

SXSW Red Bull Thre3style showcase to feature US Champ Big Once and World Champ DJ Hedspin (Updated) (Video)

Leading out of the preliminary qualifiers being held this month in search of the next Red Bull Thre3style World Champion, the event finds itself setting up shop at SXSW this year featuring the US Champ, Big Once, and the reigning champ, the Vancouver Kid, DJ Hedspin.

With the first two featured DJ’s in showcase form, all we can say is expect the unexpected at this event.  Last year’s event featured surprise performances by DJ Z-Trip and LL Cool J, and it only goes to say that the event should be bigger and badder this March.

Just Announced: Red Bull Thre3style Preliminary Qualifiers

In the midst of prepping for our second Big Once/Red Bull Thre3style piece for launch today, we got some late breaking news from our sources with the event

 

With 2012 in full swing, the organizers behind the Red Bull Thre3style competition have announced the initial set of pre-qualifier events that will eventually lead to the crowning of a new World Champion.
