The electronic ‘cosmic soul’ duo Sonnymoon, made up of Anna Wise on vocals and Dane Orr on production, present us today with a remix of Beyonce’s “Yes” from 2003’s Dangerously In Love . The song keeps intact the strong R&B melodies of the original, but adds in the coos of Anna’s assertive, yet dreamy voice and the celestial frequencies of Dane’s production.
As mentioned before in my previous post on Unsound, it’s a festival that is known for enticing its demographic with risks, rewards and thematic atmosphere. With the theme of horror being the crux of the whole weekly event, there was ways that anything and everything could go wrong. However, just when one would think the undertaking of layering an entire festival with a theme would turn out horrific (no pun intended), somehow the curtain comes down to show off something off-kilter yet preserved in its magnificence. Kanye nugget are coming so fast, this blog is starting to feel like Lucy when she couldn’t keep up with the candy wrapping machine. So here’s a two-fer. Kanye posted this new track with Charlie Wilson and Beyoncé on his blog yesterday. In truth, it’s pretty light-weight compared to the other stuff we’ve heard, but the choral samples seem to be a theme on the new record.
