Beardo disco DFA don Juan Maclean made a riotous appearance on Tim Sweeney‘s Beats In Space radio show last night, and began his set with a new tune, “Love In Space.” The show gets off to a commical start, and gets more ridiculous as it goes on. But in between the humorous banter is some excellent music, including this brand new tune.
In advance of their second single to be released on Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space label on May 22nd, French electro-pop purveyors Paradis have just dropped a slickly produced piece of film noir showing a stone-faced man’s ennui-laden trek through the debaucherous underbelly of the Red Light District to prevent a tragedy of his own creation.
Beats In Space celebrated 10 years on the airwaves last year so needless to say it was a big year for Tim Sweeney and the BIS crew at WNYU Radio. Many congratulations to them for rockin’ the underground for so long and sticking to guns playing quality music for the NYC masses as well as the many folks tuning in via the interwebz. If by chance you didn’t get enough of the 2009 lists, there were enough out there I assure you, then check out Tim’s. If you were unsure of just what might have been the dopest tracks then look no further than this list and check out BIS every tuesday on WNYU 10:30pm to 1 am.
