Just this past Friday we reported that the Beastie Boys would release a limited vinyl over the weekend, and they are making news again today.
Adam Yauch was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left partoid (salivary) gland last week. It’s early enough that the disease is localized and can be treated immediately. The cancer and the surgery will not affect Yauch’s vocal chords. However, the surgery and the weeks of follow-up treatment and recovery have put the band’s plans for touring and releasing their album Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 on hold.
