Austin is no stranger to major music gatherings, but local fave Fun Fun Fun Fest has grown out of the shadow of it’s older siblings ACL and SXSW to become an event worthy of national attention on its own. As the grinder known as SXSW Music Festival descended upon Austin, Texas for the 25th time, festival-goers would notice immediately that this was pretty big; in the manner that it was most likely the most-attended festival since SXSW’s inception. Sixth Street was a bastion for hipsters, journalists, photographers, DJs, bands and music-hungry young adults looking to find the nearest fix and free party wherever it may be; whilst it was at time a cataclysmic circus around the area, the festival did provide once again its showcase of every band, every genre, and every party imaginable. While Electric Daisy Carnival Promoter Sues City of Los Angeles For $1,000,000, Insomniac isn’t letting their lawyers do all the work.
