Minneapolis hip-hop veterans Atmosphere are getting ready to release their first proper album since 2008′s When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. But there’s been plenty of new music from Slug and Ant, in the form of various digital releases, free and monetized (including the Too All My Friends EP, which you voted as the Best Album of 2010, despite it’s limited release).
Last week, we reported that Atmosphere was embarking on a tour of their homestate of Minnesota, and releasing the free track “Minnesota Nice” to commemorate the occasion. So it’s not terribly surprising that the duo’s sixth proper album, The Family Sign, also taps in to that familial vibe.
