Ninja Tune beatmaker Fink revealed his troubadour soul on last year’s underrated Biscuits for Breakfast, and with a follow-up ready for release he and his band hit launched a two week dash through North America.
I caught the Chicago stop Monday night, and the dark rhythmic blues Fink (who’s DJ’d around the globe and made beats for Amy Winehouse) and his bandmates are offering is not to be missed.
The Empty Bottle is always a great place to see a band. It’s a tiny room with loud sound, low lights and cheap beer. She's scheduled to play New York's Bowery Ballroom Mar 13, two shows in Austin at SXSW on Mar 15 & 16, and in LA at the Roxy Mar 19 and at Spaceland Mar 20.
