Those “Wood Grain” dudes are actually the Hood Headlinaz. They have their very first magazine feature in our 150th issue—which will be blowing your mind very shortly—and have been generally playing soundtrack to our lives for the past six months. Last week, while on that aforementioned vacation it was Jackie Chain's “Blinded by the Light” that just couldn't leave the speakers of my rental whip. A thrillingly blatant sample of the one-hit wonder Manfred Mann's Earth Band tune of the same name—a song originally written and recorded by the boss—it's earworm status is only upped by Chain's quotables.
