Crown City Rockers' own Raashan Ahmad is doing him and venturing out on his own, at least for right now. Currently residing in the Bay, a region so compact that genres are constantly meshing with one another, Ahmad is taking a stand against oppressive labeling on the nursery rhyme-tinged "Conscious." In truth, Raashan Ahmad utilizes a complex array of hip hop inspirations, as he states "Ice Cube-Death Certificate, Native Tounges that's my shhhhh." All of Ahmad's tracks are a breath of fresh air in a musical landscape which is hellbent upon compartmentalizing artists.
