Intricate Machines have done what many Los Angeles artists are struggling to do right now, which is to actually stand out. These five guys have successfully released their EP IM, set up tours, and on top of that, made really good music. Influenced by everything from post-rock pioneers, Tortiose, to groundbreaking experimentalists like Grizzly Bear, Intricate Machines are slowly making a name for themselves in the indie/pop/experimental world--a difficult thing to do considering how cluttered it is these days.

IM has more talent and dedication than they know what to do with. I'll look forward to hearing their music and live shows for years to come.

The guys of Intricate Machines are just as complex individually as they are in their music, combining ideas with backgrounds ranging from creative writing, law, graphic design to ethnomusicology. They're pushing experimentation to a very inviting and accessible level leaving you more than satisfied after any live performance but still wanting more because they're THAT interesting. From witty and intelligent lyrics, electro beat-boxing to pure guitar riffs, Intricate Machines is creating the unconventional sound that we've been needing for a long time...
