Jason Bentley: KCRW's New Music Director

So I was invited to the DNC but couldn't go due to lack of random spending feds... Bummer! but anyway, the John Legend performance last night at the Democratic National Convention was pretty phenomenal... not surprising at all right? Check out the video and see for yourself...
Some of the lyrics to this jam include:
"if you hear this message, where ever you stand/ I'm calling every woman/ I'm calling every man/
We're the generation, we cant afford to wait/ The future started yesterday, were already late"
"We should be the change that we wanna see"
This isn't your typical John Legend love ballad. It's actually more of a call to action, talkin about human potential. AND, It actually sits pretty well with Obama's call to change and principles of human responsibility in creating change for the future. So, it's no wonder Mr Legend decided to collaborate with Obama. You can now download "If You're Out There" on the Obama site.
Sounds a little more inspiring than the Daddy Yankee/ McCain appearance in Phoenix, no?
