James Pants' "Cosmic" New Video

James Pants’ new video is a random, and at the same time, appropriate, piece of audiovisual accompaniment for “Cosmic Rapp”. Pants seemed to believe that his video needed no such frill as a solid story concept. The setting for the '80s synth ditty is a Las Vegas hotel buffet where Pants, as an alien of some sort, has his face painted bluish-gray and wears a gold, Arabic turban (think Jafar from Aladdin) and basically eats at the buffet with the other hotel-peeps. His other-worldly quality is evidenced by his urinal lighting up when he pees and his handy laser gun. The song is awesome and the video is worth checking out simply to see a strange take on reality. Also worth a glimpse is his new tour dates with Jamie Lidell. Pants will be performing his debut album, Welcome, which is a refreshing throwback to early rap and '80s soul. With Pants and Lidell combined, the soul level is sure to be cosmically outta this world.
