Post-Coachella festival news: DEMF + Pitchfork

As the Coachella hangover lingers out west it’s time for the middle of the country to start thinking about festival season. In the last week DEMF and Pitchfork Festival announced their full lineups and here’s a rundown on the new details.

First there’s Movement, Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival going down Memorial Day weekend. Once again Paxahau are putting things together and this year they’ve made improvements to all four stages with enhanced sound and vinyl roofs. Of course, it’s the sounds that’ll be drawing the crowds to hang out under those new roofs and this year’s bill is packed with new talents and DEMF regulars. Here’s who’s playing with the timeslot and stage where available.

Then of course two months later Pitchfork Music Festival lands in Chicago’s Union Park July 18 - 20. Additions to the lineup mean double duty for one Lou Barlow as they’ve added an opening night performance from his Sebadoh alongside the already announced closing night set from his first band, Dinosaur Jr. Here’s the whole weekend’s noise plan:
