in rebuttal to "Lesson B" mazzi should know that fashion is just fashion. it always recycles itself. flared jeans from the 70's came back in the 90's. so 80's comes back in the 00's. fashion and knowledge of music are two separate things.. they just sometimes are caught in the act together. fu*in mazzi.. thinks he's the last word and sh*t. Q-tip is right.. they just rocked what was fly. if we rock retro J's.. so what? that sh*t will always be fly, espcially for us chicago heads. if you're gonna diss, diss the hipsters themselves who don't know their culture and rock the shit because it's hip. but at the same time, it opens them up to what hip hop's history is.. it should spark an interest and it's giving homage. the people who take it as a fad.. will disappear regardless. don't diss our MC's, our DJ's.. they know their history no doubt. and if someone says theyre too young, it's homage and they're paying respects. the only thing conservative backpacker hip hop heads are doing is holding back the evolution of music.. let hip hop expand.. let it breath.. let it reach out.
