All Sparks (Prince Language remix)

Released by Fader Label

Talk about being cowbell crazy--this Liquid Liquid lashing from Prince Language is so good it beat the ever-reliable Phones out for the 'All Sparks' spot on Editors' iTunes-only remix EP. While it's a bit of a tease and never quite reaches a climax, the song's newfound patience, percussion and raving piano keys are compelling enough to keep the song (and you) going for eight minutes.

Martin Solveig

Something Better (Julian Jabre/Quentin Harris Remixes)

Released by Defected Records

Martin Solvieg continues to represent the cutting edge sound coming out of France. The original combines his signature beats, stripped down production, Michael Jackson type vocals, cool chorus and interludes and an electronic-y bassline that will rock any dancefloor. Julian Jabre's mix rocks old school drum beats and fat, dirty basslines making for a very fun mix. Quentin's mix is punchy and a little tougher than his usual work and compliments the whole package.

The remix is orchestrated with smooth chords and pads, piano solos and pleasing rhythms. Jihad Muhammad is a producer that deserves attention and acclaim; while his name might not be that inviting, his music is amazing - you won't go wrong.

Released by Astralwerks

I just can't seem to get enough of this band. I personally think It's Never Been Like That is their best album, but I have a few friends who disagree. Point being, they are all great, and so smooth and French, and I really like things that are smooth and French, so I guess this was a shoe-in.
