Open Secret

Released by Unique

This is the third single from Malente's 4th album and it serves up a heavy dose of p-funk with 4 new mixes. DC's Fort Knox Five lend their magic touch with both a vocal and instrumental mix while the flip features remixes from the Groove Allegiance and Sgt Rock. This one has all the funk you'd ever need in one release.

Silent Movie

Released by Minus

Canada's Adam Young and Joel Boychuk's take on the minimal sound is a little more upfront than most and is definitely a leading indicator of where the sound is going: bigger, badder and definitely funkier. The five tracks on this EP follow on from the sessions in which they cranked out their contribution to the min2MAX compilation and are all brilliant but it's 'Stay Out's' vocal hook that you've been hearing out on the dancefloor.

Prelude to Foundation EP

Released by Underline

As you'd expect (having been inspired by Isaac Asimov's 'Foundation' series) RomanianRadu Muntenanu has turned out a very modern bit of Techno, stripped down cuts featuring grinding bass lines and other elements to get the crowd moving. 'The Mule's StellarSymphony' is the track of the EP with it's drunken bassline, warped strings and whispered vocals it captivates the listener and takes them to another place and time.
