SEVEN SINGLES FOR ‘07

Kanye West, “Stronger”
Mr. West’s straight-ahead interpolation of the Daft Punk classic is a stadium sized epic, one where its excitability was only surpassed by its ubiquity.

UGK featuring OutKast, “International Players Anthem”
Maybe more of an OutKast song than a UGK single, “International Players Anthem” is damn near perfect. If hip-hop can ever be called blissful, this is the moment.

Dude ‘N Nem
, “Watch My Feet”
By juking up the hook and keeping the verses plodding, Chicago’s Dude ‘N Nem helped broaden the city’s sound by balancing regional fl avor with an undeniable burst of fun that sounds good anywhere.

Calvin Harris, “The Girls”
Nothing complicated, just a grateful player’s anthem and respectful Valentine to all the girls that bless one’s life. You just gotta love that four-bar repeating melody at the three-minute breakdown/re-build.

Pase Rock, “Lindsay Lohan’s Revenge”
The first to recognize that just cause we all want to bed LL doesn’t mean we need her bits on display (especially all pixilated) Spank Rock side man Pase Rock came up on his own with the first booty track to demand panties go on.

Justice, “D.A.N.C.E.”
An utter oddity that turned into an absolute sensation, this pure pop hit managed to charm hipster heads and 9th graders alike. We knew they’d never win on MTV, but Justice certainly made our dance cut of our year.

Teki Latex ft Bitch Bitch Lap Lap, “The Ish”
Who says you even need to release a track any more. This secret web hit finds
TTC big boy Teki Latex getting freaky with Feist on the line “White bitches with fat asses.” That shit is the ish.

LOVE the Pase Rock song, I'm pretty sure it was up on my page as the main song for at least two or more months.

good the bad and the queen ranks as the highest disappointment, sounds like ane emo band, not any of the legends in the band

What's that El-P reviewer on about? Poisenville is surely no break-up song. The title should be enough.
