From 1995 to 2003, DJ Darren Revell took Detroit listeners on a narcotic-like trip each Sunday night with his “Big Sonic Heaven” radio show. Specializing in “ethereal dream-pop, shoegaze, synth-pop, deep alternative,” the show provided a rare place on commercial airwaves for legends such as My Bloody Valentine and Portishead as well as local bands Majesty Crush and Glider. Today, Revell has revived “Big Sonic Heaven” on Los Angeles’ Indie 103.1, where it airs Monday through Thursday from 10 PM to midnight. Mixing classic cuts with choice nu-gazer sounds, “Big Sonic Heaven” remain a wonderful broadcast anomaly in a broadband world.

i love this song. back in the day, there was this girl named "heather greathead" who made a mixed tape for me with this song on it. she named the tape "if my soul could sing, this is what it would sound like".
