dB brings innovation and the best underground to the NW.

There is no Monday, Dec 23rd in my calendar..

This survey once again shows how out of touch URB is - but that's nothing new really.

Word. Another serving of shit here. Beck as Indie Artist? What? Is this suddenly the mid 90's now? It must be because there is no Dec. 23rd in 2008. Day late, dollar short Joshy Josh!

Awwww did someone say Heartbreak? Yeah they should be on the list too, although Lex Records other artist, Neon Neon gets my vote. A very futuristic album...

Did Beck not do an awesome album with Danger Mouse this year?

Posted Thursday, December 04, 2008 @ 08:55 by mgmt

So, working with Danger Mouse makes Beck a "Indie" artist again? That's just about as "Indie" as hearing Danger Mouse's Gnarls Barkley "Crazy" in Walmart, Movie Theaters, Car Commercials, EVERY bar, club, elevator, airport, etc. Yup, just working with Grammy Winner Danger Mouse qualifies him as a "Indie" artist all over again. Fail!

of Montreal is the greatest band on the face of the planet.

Posted Saturday, December 06, 2008 @ 06:56 by Sara

with gnarls barkley being on a label next to spank rock, santogold and the cold war kids, I think Monty B. misremembered a bit.. besides, why do people accuse going big as disqualifying artist's indie roots? isn't radiohead indie? they're played in every bar, club, elevator, airport, etc in the UK..

decibel. best lineup of anything. more niche than the others, but it was way more consistently top caliber performances with a full-tilt party atmosphere to boot.

Posted Sunday, December 07, 2008 @ 01:49 by steve

MGMT isn't anywhere near "new", seeing as they toured extensively with Of Montreal on the Sunlandic Twins tour and probably before that.
