Fresh off an utter smashing of SXSW, Portland’s own Animal Farm is back, and they brought goodies. “Test of Time” is the first single off their new album titled Culture Shock, available for sale on I Tunes, NOW. The fiery single features the one and only Talib Kweli, and you know URB has that exclusive stream after the jump.

So, I just got word of this hot event, which jumps off this Saturday at the Fox Hills mall, and thus had to post here for the URB nation.
“The Grind” presented by GorillaMic + Streets Of Venice, is a dope new L.A. monthly that gets crackin’ the 4th Saturday of every month, inside the Streets Of Venice store from 7-11pm inside the Westfield / Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, CA.
As you L.A. shoppers know, the mall typically shuts down at 9pm, however, due to the overwhelming turnout out at last months debut event, Gorilla Mic + Streets of Venice have been given the green light to keep Fox Hills live all the way till midnight.

So we’re 27 days into 2011, and as is usually the case this early in a new year, we’ve yet to hear that fresh new sound with the potential to define music in 2011 and beyond. And while I’m not saying this fierce collab featuring Grillade and Big KRIT is “that” sound, I’m most definitely co-signing pretty much anything Grillade pumps out The Torta Oven Studio up in the lovely SF Bay Area.
