One Neck, Two Chains Interviews J. Cole (Video)

J. Cole sheds some light on his recent studio session with Pharrell for his upcoming album. Then the interviewer took the convo to a totally different tangent as he picked his brain on his favorite NBA players and go to moves on the court. It was an interesting change of pace but I kind of wanted to hear more about the LP. At any rate it’s good to hear J. Cole putting in work for his anticipated debut effort.

Curren$y – “Breakfast” (Video)

CURREN$Y – BREAKFAST from Creative Control on Vimeo.

The latest flick from Curren$y x Creative Control features Spitta in Jamaica taking in the pleasant island weather. It’s a short ride through a picturesque villa that may cause ire to those suffering through the winter. Nevertheless the Mos Def-produced track is laced with Curren$y’s deft wordplay and is well worth the click if you haven’t heard it.

Common – “Next Time” (MP3)

An unreleased song from the Finding Forever sessions popped up on the innanet courtesy of 2dopeboyz. Excuse me for getting on my high horse but this throwaway, recycled lyrics and all, sounds better than pretty much anything from UMC. Damnit, I did a good job of wiping that album’s existence out of my memory until now. Ah well, grab the link below. Many thanks go out to Kevin Nottingham for pointing me in the right direction.
