I had the privilege of chatting with Ayah some time ago and she dropped some hints about her upcoming album with DJ Jazzy Jeff. My interest piqued when I heard about this project since Jeff is an accomplished producer and his soulful style matches Ayah’s voice very well. The final release date is still TBA. In the meantime this collection of freebies ought to hold fans over until more news on the LP comes our way.

DJ Jazzy Jeff & Ayah – This Way Album Sampler
Perhaps I was sleeping under a rock but I didn’t see this coming. Anyway I’m not going to fight it as Cons has a decent track record with tapes and his latest effort is quite feature heavy. Q-Tip, Common, Kanye West, Styles P and Kid Cudi make appearances on this project and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I’m about a quarter done with my first playthrough so far and I’m not suffering from downloader’s remorse. Grab the tape with the link provided below.

Consequence – Movies On Demand (Mixtape)
Dame n’ ‘em are at it again and it seems like each flick they put out gets better and better. The concept behind Stalley’s latest video is calls for various heads to don faux Stalley beards so they can control the mic like the up and coming midwest rapper. Also seeing Dame making moves on the phone with it on (check the picture above) brought about a few chuckles. Now we just have to sit back and wait until 24 Hour Karate School hits the innanet on March 30. I’ve been more than patient for Ski and co. to release this tape. Here’s hoping it’s worth the wait.

Valve hinted at supporting steam on Macs last week via various fake Mac ads (like the one above) featuring popular characters from their games including Half Life 2, Left 4 Dead, Portal and Team Fortress 2. Well it looks like those joke ads had a hint of truth behind them after all.
Chip and Blitz Beats revisit a classic Nas record and add their own flare to it. The flick isn’t anything revolutionary but Chip does his thing on this track. It’s one of the better lyrical efforts I’ve heard from the Cleveland native and I’d like to hear him put his skills to the test more often. Check out The Cleveland Show, Chip’s latest tape, If you like what you hear.
