Saints of Valory, the Austin-based indie rock band, that has previously been featured on URB online is competing tonight in a live online Battle of the Bands brought to you by the Billboard Music Awards and affiliate sponsor Chevy.

Saints of Valory beat out two other acts in the Billboard.com vote to become the finalist in the southwest region. The band is on the road to Las Vegas and you can watch the roadtrip progress in the video player below! In Las Vegas they will play against the other finalists head to head at the May 18 Battle of the Bands concert. The ultimate winner will appear on the 2012 Billboard Music Awards.

We are proud to announce a quick ticket giveaway to celebrate the release of Mars Today’s Re-Mix Tape. Held tonight, May 18th at the Elbo Room in San Francisco, the release features the nine-piece band of Mars Today, Skins & Needles (aka DJ Zeph and Max MacVeety of Crown City Rockers), and DJs B. Cause & A-ron. The night is celebrating the release of Mars Today’s upcoming compilation The “Re-Mixtape” featuring eleven classic tracks remixed in Mars Today’s signature style. The release will officially be released online for FREE on May 19th.

Overwhelming response to the San Francisco leg of I Love This City has forced a venue change from AT&T Park to the Shoreline Ampitheatre. As a result, the hours for the event have been extended, leading to more bang for your buck if you have already purchased a ticket. For those that were prepared to be at the AT&T Park location, the festival organizers have arranged for free charter bus service (a la the good old days, when folks would hit a location and then get bussed over to the party).
The San Francisco event has added Afrojack and Sebastian Ingrosso to their lineup on Friday, May 25th. The San Diego event can call Wolfgang Gartner, Madeon, and Adrian Lux as additions to their event on Sunday.
