Banksy “Exit Through the Gift Shop” Trailer and Theaters (Video)

Leave it to street artist Banksy to put together the so-called “first street art disaster film.” As his first full-length film, Exit Through the Gift Shop, will begin showing stateside on April 16th and finally bring to life the lore and mishaps that are part of the job. Today he announced the theaters screening the film.

Weezy Blogs from Jailhouse, Loves Fans

Not one to leave his fans in the dark, Lil Wayne and his camp unveiled a special website this morning. Weezythanxyou.com will allow the rapper to communicate with his fans and let them know what it’s like being in the slammer. He’s already started personally thanking individual fans, replying to their letters, and will be taking questions–now that he has all this free time on his hands… Actually, the live counter tells exactly how much time he has. Indeed, he is not the first inmate to talk to his fans from the big house; Prodigy started writing for for VIBE while locked up. You can read Weezy’s first letter here and he will be writing a column for ESPN too.

The Black Keys Announce Gigs, Support Album and Pearl Jam

Kicking off the string of shows in Iowa on April 8th, The Black Keys will perform in support of their upcoming album, Brothers, which is number six for those counting. Besides playing at Bonnaroo, they will take the stage with Pearl Jam at MSG and again in Utah, and then cross the pond for gigs in the UK. Tour dates after the jump.

Spoon – “The Mystery Zone” Live Acoustic (Video)

For the band that needs no introduction, Spoon recently stopped by Canada’s QTV and performed “The Mystery Zone” off of Transference. Not only is it a delight to hear a track other than “Written in Reverse,” but the ease with which they flip between acoustic and full-on rock-out sessions is only one of the reasons this home-grown bunch is coasting.
