Curren$y – “Vision” (Video)

VISION from Creative Control on Vimeo.

Curren$y teams up with Creative Control yet again hot on the heels of Smokee Robinson’s release. To be honest this flick isn’t much to shout about as Curren$y just recites his verse on camera. But it should serve as a wake up call if you didn’t grab the tape yet. With Smokee Robinson Vol. 1 finally out and the Saints Super Bowl victory in the books I guess New Orleans can’t help but win these days.

Fashawn – “The Score” feat. Planet Asia (MP3)

Fresno held it down something fierce on this one . Fashawn’s first verse got pretty wild by the end and Planet Asia’s bars were straight. This cut also features a rather compelling chopped up Barry White sample. It features a smooth melody that manages to give the song a hard edge when the boisterous chords come in.  According to OS, this track was a bonus on the Boy Meets World iTunes release and also makes an appearance on the BMC double vinyl. In the meantime enjoy this freebie while it lasts.

Love at 20: Premier (Video)

Texas trio moves from dancefloor to main stage with their first video.

Love at 20 is a band:

Former members of Austin’s “Clap Clap” (Mike Groener, vox/piano/guitar; Louis Lemuz, bass; Mark Toohey, drums) have come together to assemble a newer and more polished (rock) version of their illustrious dance sound. With guitar-driven hooks and lyrics that are dying to be sung along with, Love at 20 desires to be where solid chart-toppers are today (but no auto-tune here, thank goodness). If Maroon 5’s Adam Levine was more into Brit rock bands like Stereophonics rather than Prince, he would have called his band Love at 20.

Love at 20 also has a short film:

In this first installment of their four video vignettes, Love at 20 used their greatest tool to showcase their music; creativity. For their latest single, “So Bad,” the band bases their music video off of the 1932 Fritz Lang classic film, “M.” …
