Today’s installment comes from someone who is not a stranger to the annals of URB. One of the leads from the camp that brings to you SFNY, Society, and Sweater Funk, Proof aka Marky Enriquez, has recently embarked on a new curated musical session in SF entitled Subject.
Courtesy of our friends and neighbors at Grown Kids Radio, whom you guys seriously need to check out ALL of the time, comes the Massive Selector alum’s newest aural concoction — Off Subject: Chemistry. Make no mistake about it, this is music for the grown folks nee kids of this musical generation. There’s a lot to like with this recent outing — it’s futuristic, space soul vibe paired with some interesting classic selections and even some indie darlings do much to illicit a feeling of ‘chemistry’ with regards to the moods and emotions created through the covalent bonds and spinning electrons of Proof’s chosen musical notes.
It’s no wonder that Proof has garnered a reputation as a cultural/music leader in SF and NY if not the world around, as this release has done much to prove his reputation as a true musical selector and proven rhythm jockey.
Peep the track listing and the download link after the break, and EXTRA EXTRA special thanks to our neighbors at Grown Kids Radio for hipping us to the mix.
