The 17-piece disco supergroup are receiving accolades from outlets like Rolling Stone, FILTER, Pitchfork and the Village Voice, combined with a contagious buzz from underground music connoisseurs. Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears proclaims “It’s the best disco music you’ve ever heard.” When Escort founders Dan Balis and Eugene Cho and bassist / DJ JKriv (former bassist for live-house act Tortured Soul and head of Deep&Disco Recordings) aren’t producing or performing with the whole ensemble, they are plotting and scheming in the studio (their tracks and remixes have gotten love from Dimitri from Paris and Greg Wilson) and pulling out all the stops behind the decks, using their collective knowledge of disco and house music with a mission to make you sexy with sweat.

Up next is AVAN LAVA, New York City’s freshest super-pop act. What began as a conversation between producers / musicians Le Chev and Ian Pai during an overnight bus ride in Brazil while on tour with Fischerspooner years ago has since become a notorious force to be reckoned with, boasting banging beats, laser shows, choreographed sequences and unparalleled energy, working alongside bands such as Fischerspooner, Cold Cave, Frankie Rose, SSION and The New York Philharmonic, and remixing songs for R.E.M. and Passion Pit. This year they released an EP titled “Flex Fantasy” which was produced and mixed by AVAN LAVA and mastered by Tom Coyne (Robyn, Beyonce, Jay-Z, D’Angelo) at Sterling Sound. Best known for lush, sparkling and euphoric textures and the ability to bounce between dreamy pop vibes and dance floor ready nu disco beats, AVAN LAVA always takes you on a ride.

On Wednesday, December 19th, Escort DJs and AVAN LAVA will be performing special dj sets alongside SpinSpinNYC’s Infernal Devices and Nutritious at the Hotel on Rivington’s provocative party pad, Viktor & Spoils, for Fetish Authentic. Doors at 9:30 p.m. A SKYY Vodka open bar from 10 til 11pm will add to the merriment. Plus, special giveaways from SOL Republic  and Babeland throughout the night.
