Since 2009, The Bold Italic has been celebrating local creativity in San Francisco. Between their online magazine, print publications, events, and pop-up shop, The Bold Italic focuses on covering and collaborating with the artists, writers, local businesses, and organizations who make them excited to be living in the Bay Area. The idea is to showcase what they’re excited about in San Francisco outside their borders and to show people back home what like-minded locals are enthusiastic about.

This week, The Bold Rush will head to Portland and Seattle respectively on Oct. 2nd-3rd (PDX) and Oct 6th-7th (SEA). PDX’s events will take place at The Cleaners at The Ace Hotel and will feature Rice Paper Scissors‘ Vietnamese street food, Berlin-Style ping-pong with American Tripps, live DJs, and a curated art show curated by Dan Johnson Lake.

Admission is free, although interested parties are encouraged to RSVP.
