Allowing the darkness to embrace Brooklyn in the midst, promoters Tar & Feathered have brought something quite intriguing to the ever-evolving dancefloor community of New York City with their newest event, happening tonight at The Morgan. While they have been building up steam steadily since their inception in October, their focus has been diligent in supporting acts with a certain penchant for mood and feeling, curating lineups carefully and not always bearing in mind the draw that may or may not be attached to it. With that said, tonight’s highlight acts are the masterful DJ Qu (Underground Quality) and one of the most intriguing and captivating techno producers in the past year, Shifted (Mote-Evolver). His Crossed Paths LP was a collection of surprisingly detached and demonstrative vibes that were stimulating both mentally and physically, and we at URB are more than excited to see him spin out his stirring brand of techno tonight. Rounding out the lineup is Jacob Hoffman (Timefog) and Point Break, from the Tar & Feathered collective. Check out a bit of Crossed Paths after the jump, along with ticket buying info and such.
