It used to be that WMC was the only game in town for the ‘EDM’ industry to come together and pow wow. But just this year, Insomniac has announced EDM Biz in the run up to EDC in Las Vegas, and the International Music Summit debuted its first U.S. event earlier year with a pre-Coachella EDM symposium and dinner.

Today IMS, now in its fifth year in Ibiza, announced the final round of speakers for its event taking place May 23-25. Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am, Italo-disco legend Giorgio Moroder and the soon to be retired Danny Tenaglia (who’ll join via video conference from his legendary NYC loft) joining already announced participants Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Mute Records founder Daniel Miller. Both EDC Biz and IMS promise some interesting industry discussion, but with EDM Biz as part of the massive Electric Daisy Carnival, and IMS’ Grand Finale at Ibiza’s Dalt Villa (A UNESCO World Heritage Site, no less!) featuring Carl Cox, Luciano, Pete Tong, Seth Troxler and Azari & III, its pretty safe to say these sorts of conferences are still a long way away from your more traditional khaki conventions.
