Purity Ring

Taking over the pulpit of the Central Presbyterian Church, electro-pop duo Purity Ring’s live setup was a mix of futurism and fantasy. Samples and electronic drums were triggered by striking an array of velocity-sensitive stage lights, laying a foundation for Megan James to dramatically pound a mounted bass drum, interpretively flail a roped flood lamp, and croon pop hooks like a deconstructed Katy Perry.
